Inadequate ash pan,

I have had this grill for a few years now. Despite the fact that it's shape and size require more charcoal than I think is usually needed, it has served its purpose and I have generally enjoyed it.
I give it an average rating for two reasons. First, as a couple of others have stated, the ash pan is of poor quality. It warps and eventually disintegrates. And a couple of the hooks that kept it hanging at the varying levels broke off. I understand that with high heat that metal will only last so long. But what makes it frustrating is that I can't seem to find a replacement pan. Home Depot doesn't carry them. They should but they don't.
Second, it does rust. I keep a cover on it but the cover goes only about half way down the legs. I've had to sand and repaint twice so far.
