I wanted an Wifi enabled thermostat so that I could adjust the temperature setting remotely at our ocean cottage. The problem with most of the units available on the market is that it required a power source, usually the "C" wire. This product has 3 sources, "C" wire, micro USB and battery. Problem solved. Installation was simple, minor glitch with app install, have your wireless PSWD available and do not drop the connection from your phone to the thermostat during install. Other than that, no problem. I have tested it from various location and works well. Batteries are to last a year per instructions, too soon to verify but right now everything looks good. Also one of the most cost Read More

          Answer:
The backlight goes on when you touch the disc, for about 3 seconds. The display goes off at night entirely. Also, there are 3 settings for the display behavior to optimize battery life.
