Bought this specifically for canning tomatoes. I use it to boil water to blanch the tomatoes and it worked exactly like I was looking for. It's size is perfect because its design can handle large pots. Although I have only had it for a few weeks, it looks like it will last for many years, and for $50 bucks, you not breaking the bank with this purchase. I even got free shipping.
