I have had this unit for only four months. After three months the shelves began falling out when stacked with food items. the bottom crisper now lays on the bottom of the fridge. I have beed contacted by GE, the maker of Americana and have been informed they are aware of the shevles falling out. They informed me three times during our conversation. The inside of the fridge is wider than the shelves. I have been waiting several days now for their fix to this concern. They are sending plastic clips that are supposed to help eliminate the shelves falling out. I wil believe it when I see it. There are better units out there for the same money that lock the shelves in the old fashion way with track mounted on the back of the fridge that the shelves angle and lock in to..
No, I do not recommend this product.
