Light weight trimer with more power.,

I have two 18 Volt Ryobi string trimmers I have used for some time. The 24 Volt model is an improvement on the 18 volt model, it's more power full, light weight, and easy to use. I like the addition of the guide wheel for edging the driveway and sidewalks. It is easier than using the 18 Volt version for the same task. The new 24 volt battery does last longer. I was able to trim around planters, walls, and then edge the driveway, walkway, and side walks on less than a full charge. I had no problems with the line feed on the 24 volt model I have. I will say that one of my 18 volt trimmers has problems feeding the line, so on it I have to extend it now a then by hand. The only down issue I have noted with the 24volt model, is the motor head only rotates 90 degrees. For edging planters, I would normally rotate the motor head 180 degrees to perform this task. The 18 volt model will allow at 180 degree rotation. The 24 volt model seems to be a good model, at to durability, time will tell

The PGJ Gear-Drive Rotor Sprinkler with 2.0 Nozzle is ideal for use in watering applications that typically call for a spray but would benefit from a rotor. The sprinkler's rotor features a water-efficient nozzle and an arc that easily adjusts between 40 degrees and 360 degrees from the top of the sprinkler. A protective rubber cover and an extra-large filter screen on the sprinkler help to prevent debris from entering the rotor.

I switched from another brand of rotary sprinkler head about a year ago, due to frequent failures of the other brand. So far these Hunter PGJ series seem to be holding up better that the other Brand (Still sold at HD). This brand was recommended by one of the local HD store associates, and so far his recommendation has been a good one. I have added several more of these heads, all replacing the failing brand heads. Check out the Hunter WEB page for more information on this series of heads.

I have to agree with the other reviewers, this is a nice small area heater with a lot of features for the price. I purchased it to use in the garage when doing woodworking on cold days. One heater is not sufficient for a two car garage, however it will bring the temperature up with time, and it's nice to have close by with working in a cold area. The thermostat and timer functions are easy to use, and for it's size, which is small, it puts out a good deal of heat. It s quiet, and simple to operate. I may purchase a second one for the Garage.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I am an electrical engineer and I have used Ryobi products for quite some time. I have a number of their 18 volt batteries, both NiCad and Lithium. I have disassembled and examined the internal construction of both. The NiCad units are simple, with only a internal thermal switch to limit charging when the cell temperature is hot. The Lithium batteries have a complex safety circuit in side, with 10, series/parallel connected cells. This circuit can shut-off the output of the battery if any one of several conditions should occur. The safety circuits are necessary with Lithium cells, however they add cost and decrease reliability. In my experience the Lithium cells have not been very reliable. I have had more lithium battery failures than NiCad. There are advantages to Lithium batteries over NiCad, but in my experience with both, the NiCad is far more reliable, and cheaper. I currently would recommend the NiCad over the Lithium.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Ryobi Li Batteries, comments,

I am an electrical engineer, and have used Ryobi products for quite some time. I have ~ about a dozen or more of the Lithium batteries, and have had mixed results. I disassembled one of the failed P104 batteries out of curiosity today. I can say that it was well constructed, has 10 cells in a parallel/series configuration. There is a sophisticated safety monitoring circuit in it too. This probably is the reason for the cost. The circuit monitors the cell levels, charge and discharge conditions, and can shut-off the output if the cells get to low on charge. (All good things). I have noted, however that (In my experience) I have had more of the Lithium units fail than the Ni-Cad units. I suspect that some of this is due the the complex safety circuit that these batteries have. Yes they hold a charge longer, and store more energy, but I have noted less reliability in my use of them. I have two Li units that will only power low drain tools, and shut off when used with drills or saws, due to failure of the safety circuits. (Yes, the safety circuits are required with Lithium batteries) So, from my experience until the reliability is improved, I will stick to the simple Ni-Cad units.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought one of these based on the other reviews I read. They do reduce the surrounding noise levels considerably. They reasonably comfortable to use and the mic / sound level adjustment will allow you to hear surrounding sounds if needed. When working with a noisy, high pitched router, these can make it less distracting. I haven't tried them on the firing line yet, but I would believe they would work well for hand gun shooting.

Again, another nice product from Ryobi. This combo is well designed for it's intended use. Lite duty nail gun operation. The design and compact package of the compressor impressed me. The 18 GA nail gun seems to work fine, and the two for the cost of this unit is impressive. The power cord, carrying handle, wheels, and regulator work well. The unit is simple to set up and run. The compressor is NOT capable or intended for operation of higher air-volume tools, such as spray guns or air wrenches. For most nail gun operations it is a fine product. I have used it with a Grex pin nailer and it work well too, and this nailer cost more than this combo unit. As to durability, only time will tell....Nice product Ryobi!!

This RIDGID 14 gallon High Performance Wet/Dry Vac is designed to deliver the powerful suction, large capacity, and rugged construction in a more compact design than is offered in our largest cart type vacs. The vacuums 14 gallon drum size helps us achieve a more compact overall design but it still provides a big capacity capable of handling large job-site chores. The 6.0 peak HP motor delivers the high performance necessary to handle these chores. Other key features include; a 3-layer fine dust filter captures dry wall dust, accessories are stored on-board, casters provide 360 degree mobility. Add a top handle with a cord wrap, heavy duty 2-piece drum construction, a large drain and you've got a wet/dry vac that achieves the demands of Pro?s on the job site or in the shop.

After reading several positive reviews, and a Consumer's Report review on this shop vacuum, I purchased one. I also purchased the VT2570 Hose kit (10 ft long, more flexible), the VT2525 Muffler attachment, and the VF2004 internal vacuum bags. This makes for a really nice shop tool. It's quieter than my previous shop vacuum, the internal dust bags keep the filter clean and make the emptying cleaner and easier (I really recommend the bags, only for dry vacuuming). the vacuum is a reasonable size, relatively light weight, and the longer, more flexible hose makes using it easier. (This hose should be standard on all Rigid vacuums, even if they cost a few bucks more, well worth it). The power cord is reasonably long, and can be wrapped around the handle for storage. There is a attachment bag that installs on the top rear of the vacuum for attachments that come with it. Oh, and yes it picks up shop debris very well. I would recommend this tool, and the accessories noted above.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is only for water based paints and finishes, but it really works well, better than I would have expected. I have used it to clean brushes that have been used with Pollycrylic and Latex paints, and it seems to perform well. You do have to change the water a couple of times in one cleaning cycle, but other than this it seems to really get the paint out. Simple to use, and it has it's own build in Ground Fault switch to reduce shock hazards. Very simple and innovative product.
Yes, I recommend this product.
