I purchased this dryer to match the steam fresh washer LG sells. The dryer itself is huge and actually holds and dries a much larger load than the washer washes. I found that the auto sensor drying cycle does not perform well--leaves several items still damp. This is okay if you plan on ironing those items before putting them away, but not so good if you turn on the dryer and don't unload it until much later. I only use the manual dry cycles and get much better results. Overall a very good quiet dryer, just don't depend on the drying sensor.
I bought this washer because I care alot about my clothes and my bedding and wanted them not only very clean, but gently washed to extend their life. For example, I was wearing a scrub top and left an ink pen in my pocket which I did not discover until after I dried the top. I thought it was ruined but ran it through the steam cycle anyway. This ink stain was completely gone! It was amazing. I also put some nearly purchased dry clean only curtains in to steam out the wrinkles. It worked moderately well--still some wrinkles remained, but most were gone and it looked much better anyway. I highly recommend the extra expense for this washing machine.
