I first installed this flooring in a walk-in closet that our cats had started using as a litter box. I spent more time ripping out the old carpet and cleaning and preparing the subfloor (bleach, peroxide, baking soda, Zinsser BIN sealant) than installing the floor.
Installation wasn't bad at all (I'm another female who did it by myself) and installation got easier with each new piece. I used a jigsaw (and two boxes of cat litter as a sawhorse) to cut the pieces to length.
The floor looks great, and I have since done a bedroom and plan to do my study. So far with the new floor and some cat repellent spray, the cats are leaving the closet alone. :)
I also recommend the matching moulding kit - it makes nice, neat edges.
