Quieter than I expected, and roomier than it looked in the store. If it is even half as energy efficient as claimed it will still allow us to buy things on sale or in season and save on the grocery bill. You can't go wrong with this one.

I bought it to brew beer, and it heats 5 gallon batches to a rolling boil with ease. The instructions are for an older version - the legs are now welded on and assembly takes literally one minute. There might be better ones out there if you need to spend more money. I don't.

No. The Energy Guide shows an estimate of277kwh annual electricity usage, vs 223 for the lowest comparable model. That's a whopping $5 annual difference in the average electric bill.
