The Citristrip 1/2-gal. Safer Paint and Varnish Stripping Gel removes layers of latex and oil-based paint, varnish, shellac and epoxy in 1 step. The stripper has a pleasant citrus scent and is biodegradable.

I'm sorry some folks haven't had good luck with this. I am using this to strip about 3-4 layers of paint from some dining room chairs. I have found two things to be very important in using this product. AMOUNT of stripper used, and TIME it is left on.

Once I found the best way to work with it, it did the job wonderfully. Good luck stripping!
