Stop the slam with this soft close adapter that quietly and smoothly closes cabinet doors. It can be adjusted by the turn of a screw to the desired closing speed and is the perfect retrofit solution. This damper is easy to mount in the upper corner of your cabinet.

Installs relatively easy as long as you drill the pilot hole correctly. I have 'bumpers' on my cabinet doors but that only changed the noise when shutting them.
I cannot believe the difference! I have trained myself to close my cabinets so they wouldn't slam but there was always some noise and bounce back. Now I have to learn how to close my cabinet doors with more force or they stay partially open. I prefer this than the slamming noise. The weight of my doors are not all the same and this works great regardless; though some doors require more force to close because of the weight difference.

There are two things I do not like about this product, 1) the material is plastic and I am unsure how durable it is, and 2) the adjustment knob required a screwdriver on 8 out of 10 from the package. According to my understanding, the adjustment can be easily made with your fingers. I learned this the hard way after I installed the first one and tried to adjust the tension. I then checked the rest of the package prior to installation to 'loosen' the adjustment tension so I could make necessary adjustments after installation. Please note, this IS necessary because even if you have doors that are exactly identical (ex:. weight and size) the tension is not necessarily identical.
I updated my cabinets by refinishing and installing hardware (handles) myself and the damper completes the package. Now my cabinets look and sound (silence instead of slamming) high-end.Read Less
