Washer was delivered on 5/2/07. Since that time, I have been able to wash only 7 loads. Now granted, those seven loads came out very nice.
Lid error occured on 4th load, called for service. The Maytag repairman isn't such a lonely guy anymore, as it takes a week to get a service call. Service tech reconnected the lid sensor. I was able to wash another 3 loads before the same error appeared. This time, it required a part replacement, which took another 10 days, even though the part shipped from less than 30 miles away. Tomorrow is the big day, and I so hope that I can catch up on laundry. It's vexing to have a new EXPENSIVE washer that supposedly is a top of the line product, only to be cooling my heels at the laundromat.
This washer is quiet, efficient and has a great load capacity...when it runs. My advice, spend the money and get an extended warranty.
