The B-I-N 1-gallon Shellac-Based White Primer-Sealer is suitable for priming and sealing interior surfaces and for spot priming on exterior surfaces. The primer-sealer is formulated to adhere on dense, smooth or slick surfaces without pre-sanding for flexible application and the high-hide formula helps prevent persistent stains from showing through.

Nothing beats the adhesion and sealing of this product and I have never had any problems using it over the course of thirty years, It's not for everyone-most people would be better off using a cheaper water or oil based product that doesn't splatter as much, but honestly nothing else performs like BIN when it is necessary to quickly seal a water damaged or repaired area of plaster. The alcohol smell is intense while the product is being used but it quickly goes away and leaves no lingering odors for people to complain about the next day. I also have found that the alcohol smell,while unpleasant,does not make me feel sick and weak like with solvents or even acrylics.
Yes, I recommend this product.
